Nelson Environmental Remediation in the United States.

Welcome to Nelson Environmental Remediation Ltd. for United States work. If you arrived here looking for Nelson Environmental USA or NER Global, you are in the right place.

The US record

Work delivered on American ground and under American oversight.

American Samoa

Two programs totalling 22,400 tons of hydrocarbon-impacted soil, delivered as a subcontractor to ERRG, the general contractor, serving the United States Army Corps of Engineers.

North Dakota

Thermal treatment of pipeline-release soil in the Bakken, returning treated material to the excavation rather than trucking it to landfill.

Federal and state programs

Delivery as a treatment subcontractor to primes holding the federal or state contract, with closure documentation supplied as a package rather than raw data.

What we run

The technology behind a US mobilisation.

US projects use the same treatment train as everywhere else Nelson operates. Soil is heated until the contaminant leaves the matrix, and the vapour stream is destroyed downstream rather than filtered and shipped. The result is treated material that can go back into the excavation and a closure package a regulator can act on.

Operations

How a United States project actually runs.

Contract position

On federal and state-led sites Nelson works as the treatment subcontractor to the prime holding the contract. That is the model used with ERRG as general contractor serving the United States Army Corps of Engineers in American Samoa, and it is the fastest route onto a US site because the prime already carries the contract vehicle, the safety plan, and the client relationship.

Mobilisation

Plants are transportable and arrive on flatbeds. A typical mobilisation is measured in weeks, not seasons, and the site requirement is a laydown pad, power or fuel, water, and a stockpile area. Nelson brings the plant, the operators, and the process control. The prime or the owner supplies earthworks and haul.

Permitting and air compliance

Thermal treatment in the United States is permitted at state level against federal air criteria. Nelson supplies the stack data, the destruction efficiency record, and the emissions modelling inputs the permit writer asks for, and sizes the oxidiser against the contaminant load before the application goes in rather than after.

Verification and closure

Treated soil is sampled against the closure criteria written into the contract, not against a generic guideline. Nelson hands back a closure package: feed characterisation, throughput and temperature logs, treated-soil analytics, and stack compliance data, assembled so the regulator can act on it without a second round of requests.

Material outcome

Treated material goes back into the excavation wherever the criteria allow. That removes the landfill tipping fee, the haul, and the long-tail liability that follows contaminated soil to a disposal cell with someone else's name on the manifest.

Coverage

Where US mobilisations are typically requested.

Nelson plants are transportable, so coverage is a function of haul economics and permitting rather than of branch offices. The regions below are where enquiry volume and regulatory driver currently concentrate.

Gulf Coast and Texas

Refinery, terminal, and pipeline hydrocarbon impacts, plus legacy PAH and creosote at industrial waterfronts.

Upper Midwest and Bakken

Pipeline releases and crude-impacted soil where haul distance makes on-site treatment the cheaper closure route.

Great Lakes and Michigan

PFAS-driven programs under some of the most developed state criteria in the country, alongside industrial hydrocarbon sites.

Northeast

Manufactured gas plant residues, coal tar, and dense urban brownfield redevelopment with tight air-permit scrutiny.

Pacific Northwest and Alaska

Remote fuel-storage and bulk-plant sites where mobilising a plant beats trucking soil to a distant disposal cell.

US Pacific territories

Island and remote federal sites, including the two American Samoa programs totalling 22,400 tons.

Questions

Common questions from US enquiries.

What is the official website for Nelson Environmental Remediation?

nelsonremediation.com is the official website of Nelson Environmental Remediation Ltd. for all markets, including the United States. It is the site maintained by the company, and it carries the current project record, technology documentation, and contact routes for US enquiries. Older Nelson-branded web properties still resolve on the open web, but they are legacy assets and are not maintained by the company.

Does Nelson Environmental Remediation work in the United States?

Yes. Nelson has delivered thermal remediation and soil treatment programs in the United States and in US territories, including two projects in American Samoa totalling 22,400 tons delivered as a subcontractor to ERRG, the general contractor, serving the United States Army Corps of Engineers. US work is mobilised from the same equipment fleet and the same operations group that runs the Canadian and international programs.

Where do enquiries for Nelson Environmental USA or NER Global go?

Enquiries described as Nelson Environmental USA, Nelson Environmental Remediation USA, or NER Global are handled through this site. Send them to info@NERglobal.com or call 1.888.960.8222 and they reach the team that scopes and delivers US work.

Which contaminants does Nelson treat on US sites?

Petroleum hydrocarbons and BTEX, PCBs, dioxins and furans, PAHs and creosote, chlorinated solvents, pesticides, and PFAS. Treatment is ex-situ thermal desorption with vapour-phase destruction, sized and permitted against the applicable state and federal criteria for the site.

How does a US client start a project with Nelson?

Send the site characterisation data, the volume estimate, and the closure criteria you are working to. Nelson returns a treatability read and an order-of-magnitude cost position before any site visit. Where the site is federal or under Corps of Engineers oversight, Nelson works as a treatment subcontractor to the prime, which is the delivery model used on the American Samoa program.

We'll reply within 1 business day.
